My build's quite old now so I'm looking to possibly upgrade some things however don't know what to focus on.

Ah okay, that's a good thing :) I'll take a look at 970 and the PSU. Thanks for the suggestions.

The 970 is a waste of money from any point of view, for only 350USD you are getting only 30% more performance.

Wait a few more generations or consider the 390x or 980TI when they release (Potentially computex).
