Hey guys im looking at streaming and playing games on the same pc! Ill be streaming with obs to twitch. Right now im rolling with a i5 3450, rx470 8gb, 16 gigs of ddr3 ram. While not streaming ill have most of my games playing anywhere for 100-200 fps but when i start a stream my fps gets creamed in the face ill play games around 30-40. I assume its my cpu and im looking at a ryzen 5 1600x to upgrade to right now cause as far as performance per a dollar looks good. Any suggestions id love to hear it, thanks!

Solution
For streaming and price vs performance, it is hard to beat AMD. I think the 1600 is a good choice. I would not go with the 1600x. The 1600 comes with a stock cooler and will OC to the 1600x level.

With that being said, I don't know your timeframe, but you may want to hold off. In less than a month AMD will release the 2600. It should have higher clock speeds and will be a similar price.

Like Feelin said. I would wait tell next month as I would get the 2600 CPU.. I have a 2200G and it is super nice for my wife.. its a lot faster then her old PC she uses for video editing. Going to get her the 2600 when it comes out. OR may get her the Ryzen 7 2700X depending on price.

Okay thanks for the help and quick response! Ill wait till next month and choose the 1600 over the x. Fingers crossed!
