Hi, I'm looking forward to upgrading some components of my PC
I'm thinking of Upgrading the CPU and other components
BUDGET: I don't really care about the budget But I want to STAY cheap not upgrade to 1080, i9, 32 GB, etc

CPU: i5-2400
MOTHERBOARD: Lenovo-IS6XM-MATX-LGA1155-Q67-
GPU : GTX 1050 TI
RAM: 8GB
HDD : 250 GO (gonna upgrade to 1 TB or + )
SSD: don't have 1
PSU: 600W 80+ gold

Windows 7 PROFESSIONAL

For 200 bucks on that box, I think I'd do this for now.

i7 2600k- $120 bucks

Should max out that old board, just look up the specs on that system to see if it will actually accept it. Even though you may not get to overclock, the K version should still have a little higher turbo/boost speed.

SSD, something like this 240gb. I don't know much on the brand, but the price is right.

Those 2 things should put you at or just over 200.

If you wanted to do more, I would get another 8gb of ram when you can, and pick up at least a 1tb standard hard drive. For now though, get the ssd, use...

I suggest you to go to a newer platform ( Ryzen or Intel 8th gen) and add a ssd too .
Gpu is fine for 1080p now.

Probably you will need a new case too

Cheap is relative term. You should still specify amount you're willing to spend.
If 1080, i9, 32 GB - is too much, then get:
GTX 1070, 16GB ram, SSD.

I'm the guy that ALWAYS asks this question, but, where does it feel like it's falling short? What are you using it for? If gaming, what resolution and refresh rate?

The HDD seems very small, I'd definitely upgrade that. Also, you should still be able to get a free upgrade to Windows 10, which I'd personally recommend.

That should pretty much max that system and get you by for 1-2 years until you can afford to go with a full platform upgrade. So after doing these upgrades, I'd start saving here and there. You may be able to get 40-50 bucks for your 2400 on ebay if you sell it off though to make up some of the money.
