What should I upgrade in my PC?

My old PC stopped working, so I got a low end gaming PC for around $450 with a big case capable of upgrades in the future. It has been around 4 months since I got it, it has been working great and I want to upgrade it now.

My question to you guys is what should I upgrade first, second, etc. I have been looking at new GPUs recently and have been eyeing up a RX 580 8gb or a 1060 6gb. Budget is around $350 for current upgrades. Can save up for more in the future

As a side note, the PSU is a 450 watt.

Another question to you guys is whether or not I should OC my FX 6300 either now or when I get the new GPU?

My monitor is a 60 hz that I OC to 75hz with no problems.

Thank you!

EDIT: To all of you PC gamers with a 1080ti and 7700K, I bought this PC because I’m new to PC gaming and don’t need 240 fps on ultra. it fits my needs to please don’t criticize saying that it’s old and garbage <3

ANOTHER EDIT: I had planned on getting a second 8gb stick of ram. thank you to the person who reminded me of that haha

That system is pretty balanced right now. If i were you, i would upgrade the platform first and get a decent gpu later on.

i would go with the 1060 6gb, or possibly even a 1070 8gb if you find a good deal since gpu prices are dropping like crazy right now, but make sure everything is compatable before you buy anything and you may want to upgrade your cpu as well so you dont experience any bottlenecking

Your CPU will bottleneck anything over a GTX 1060 or an AMD RX 580. Basically you will not see any fps inprovement if you choose something higher than that.

I see you're only running 1 stick of memory (8GB). You REALLY should consider buying another exact stick of what you already have so you're running dual channel. That will make a big difference in certain games. If you can't find the same stick then I suggest you sell the stick you have now and buy a dual kit like this one: https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231546

"A PC is only as fast as its slowest part"

Once you upgrade your video card the memory is going to hurt performance so I suggest you really look into it.

Good luck.

Edit: I do like the RX 580 but I saw that your PSU is 450 watts. Look for a GTX 1060. It uses less power.
