Hello, I built my pc around 2 years ago and its been lacking in some of the more high end low optimizations games I've been trying to play, most specifically player unknown's battlegrounds. Right now I struggle to run the game, its somewhere around 25-50 depending on where I am, my current build is as follows

I3-4170,
GTX 750 TI 2gb,
Asrock h97 pro4,
8gb ddr3 ram,
Stock cooler,
wd 1tb blue,

any adice would be appreciated along with what part I should upgrade it to

Solution
if your looking to run PBUG. I5 or I7 is needed, and 16GB ram , and anything better than a GTX1050ti such as a 1060 3gb or a 970 4gb

known configurations I have tested and results, using Medium setting on all graphics;
i5-4670 16GB ram, H87 Motherboard GTX 970 video card FPS 45-70
I7-4790K OC 4.6Ghz, 32GB Ram, Z87 Motherboard, GTX 970 fps 85-125
PUBG counts as a demanding AAA game. This means you'll need a quad core CPU and a 1060 level videocard(the game runs best on Nvidia right now). If you reduce resolution to 720p and lower game settings to their lowest, the increase in framerate(if there is an increase) will tell you if just a videocard upgrade will help. For instance, if your framerate goes from the 25-50fps you're getting now to 50 minimum, that means your i3 4170 will be enough to benefit from a better card. If your framerate is still something like 30-60fps, this means your CPU can't really handle this game even with a better videocard.

A 1050 Ti would be a good compromise between performance vs cost, assuming your CPU is up to the task.
