What exact PSU model do you have? Some of the cheaper units can't output the wattage they listed.

I would recommend the R9 270x as the best card within your price range. It requires a decent 500W PSU that has at a minimum 24A on the 12V rail.

I have the EVGA GTX 750 ti 2Gb I bought it about 8 months ago or so and it has performed very well with all graphics heavy games like FarCry3 BF4 Assassins Creed Black Flag both DeadIslands Metro Last Light Call of Duty Ghost with 8Gb of GSkil ram all of thoughs can be at there highest of settings with great frame rates the only thing I havn't been able to play at max is wow the shadows have to be turned down to good but everything else is at there max settings as of my experience with the EVGA GTX 750ti has been absolutely wonderful very solid card stays under 57 degrees centigrade even at 20% overclock it will not go over 60 degrees centigrade very low power consumption for its great performance the only con is the fan can get a little loud when gaming but other than that I am impressed with it all around great GPU to have on a budget

Could you reccommend a decent PSU for about £30-£40

No problem.

@Jdogz427 When choosing a PSU look at the OEM, not the brand. The Zalman Gold Rock uses Enhance Electronics and their PSU is quite decent for the price.

The Seasonic you listed is good but it's out of his price range. The EVGA is mediocre quality. Its OEM is FSP and their cheaper units are not that great. The EVGA PSUs made by Seasonic (coming soon) or Super Flower are excellent.
