Hi, I 'd like to upgrade my pc but I don't know what I should replace, I want to be prepared for the new games that are coming out. So if anyone can help me out or give me advice on what components I should switch out and to which, I'd be very thankful!

My current setup is:
Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
Gpu: Nvidia GTX 960
RAM: 16GB DDR4
PSU: CX650M
CPU: Intel Core i7-6700
3 Fans and 1 Cooler

Thank you in advance!

I’m on a 2600 and 2060S and that’s playing the new Star Wars fine at 1440p near max. A 5700XT would hit 60 max I would have thought.

So would say a 3600/3700x with a 5700XT 16GB of 3200/3600 RAM, a solid X570 board which should be around $900 with the 3600 $1000 with the 3700x. Then add stuff like a 1TB SSD if you want with a solid PSU for around 80-100 should take you to 1300. This is a 1440p PC really btw it’s overkill for 1080 but you could throw in a decent 1440p Monitor and still be well under 2K lol

In my humble opinion, this.

Whats your budget? Also not sure how good your PSU is, so I'll defer that to another member that'll be along shortly who'll be better able to answer that aspect of your current build. As there is no point in getting a good GPU is your PSU isn't up to snuff. :) Or it might be a great unit. However, I'd definitely advise you to consider a new GPU 1st as your CPU & RAM are good.

Give us a budget to work with. Do you prefer AMD or nVidia?

I’d prefer nvidia and my budget is 700$ ish :) Thank you sir

Is the 5700xt compatible with my motherboard? What psu should I get? Sorry for theese question but I really am not up to date with all the new things. Thank you
It’s a GPU as long as it fits in your case you’re good!

anything newish, just remember older CX units weren’t great. The RMX series From Corsair and G2/3 From EVGA are good starts. Tbh you could probs upgrade to a 2700X instead of the PSU AMD if you sold the old parts to get a good board and new 3200Mhz RAM

Now I am thinking I should just build a brand new pc, so incase you'd want to help I am open for suggestion on a pc build.
I already got a decent case and an ssd. So if I am going for a new build i should get 2700X and 5700XT? What motherboard would you suggest for me to buy and what psu? Thanks in advance

Let's also say that my budget increased to 2000$ but I'd still like to get a price worthy pc with decent specs for all the new gen games
