I built my PC a few years ago and I know my graphics card needs upgrading. Just looking for suggestion on what upgrades I should make on a budget.

Current Rig:
CPU - Intel Core i7 - 4770k @ 3.5 GHz
Motherboard - MSI Z97 Gaming 7 (MS-7916)
Memory - couldnt remember the brand but 16gb (2x8gb)
Graphics - NVIDIA GeForce GTX770
The rest I would have to dig through my receipts for the exact details.

Thanks again for any help

Solution
Its too much for i7 4770k with RTX 2070 Super..
You might just go for RX 5600xt that come with new bios.

There is really no difference if your playing at 1080p, you will only see RTX 2070 is 10-15 fps higher than RX 5600xt.

The only huge difference you see a huge improvement on fps, that if you play in 2k or 4k resolution RTX 2070 Super would be a winner. Its overpriced.

Look at comparison. RX 5600xt draw less power compare to RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 Super would be over 200w usage on gpu alone..Im only saying this if your on country with limited kwh per month.

This is the wrong question.
First: Select a Game tittle that you love.
Second : Visit the official Game tittle web page.
Third : Read the recommended VGA card about it.
Fourth : If you care for 1080P max for Gaming, you can get away with a modern GTX 1660 Super with quality cooling on it (ASUS Dual Fans).

Sorry here is my updated system.

Gaming Chasis: Cooler Master CM Storm Trooper ATX Full Tower Case, Black SGC-5000-KWN1

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4770k CPU @ 3.50GHz

CPU Cooling Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO - CPU Cooler with 120mm PWM Fan (RR-212E-20PK-R2)

Motherboard: MSI ATX DDR3 2600 LGA 1150 Motherboards Z97 GAMING 7

RAM: G.SKILL Trident X Series 8GB (2x4GB) 240-Pin DDR3-2400 Desktop Memory RAM

Video Card: EVGA SuperClocked w/ ACX Cooling 02G-P4-2774-KR G-SYNC Support GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 SLI Support Video Card

Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G2 1000W ATX12V/EPS12V 80Plus Gold Power Supply 120-G2-1000-XR

I wanted to eventual be able to use VR. But my top played games atm are PSO2, COD MW, Overwatch and CS:GO. I eventually wanna get battlefield aswell.

I built it with my brother years ago and since he has passed away so I have no-one to really help me figure out whats what. I know my Graphics needs updated but I dont know what will fit iwth what etc.

The 1070 Ti is a last gen-card; I'd buy an RTX series card for sure. Since it seems like you are going for high fps 1080p games, I'd recommend something like a 2060 Super. Maybe a 2070 Super if you are planning on upgrading to a 1440p monitor at any point before you upgrade your GPU again.

Some free advice: you should seriously consider upgrading to 16 GB of RAM. The 8 GB you are currently rocking is likely to hold you back (if it isn't already).

Is this what you are talking about?
That would work with my board etc?

I do my pricing monitoring due this page.
https://geizhals.de/asus-dual-gefor...hloc=pl&hloc=uk&hloc=eu&v=e&togglecountry=set

Regarding compatibility I am going to install it at ten years old motherboard PCI Express 2.0 x 16.
About the external 8Pin connector, there is a cable adapter this converting your Six Pin power supply wire at 8 Pin which is required.
And therefore I am assuming perfect electrical and PCI-E compatibility.
Additionally the newest GTX 1660 Super this is not a Power Hungry circuit, actually this is the friendlier one from all VGA cards at 2020.

Good luck with your own decisions what ever they are.

I was thinking of biting the bullet and going after the RTX 2070 Super.
Which of these 2 would it be?

Other than the branding and price I cant find the difference in these?

You should definitely go for 2 X 8 GB, because that allows you to run your RAM as dual-channel RAM. I don't know much about RAM brands, I don't think it makes a significant difference generally speaking.

The first one is an MSI partner card, the second one is what is called a reference-spec card: the entirety of it is designed and sold by NVIDIA where as the MSI card is sold by NVIDIA to MSI without a cooler and then MSI slaps its own cooling hardware on it and sell it under the MSI brand.

I own a RTX 2080 Founders Edition (also a reference spec card; this was in early 2019 before the 2080 Super or any of the super cards had come out yet). I personally like the look of the reference spec card much more than the partner boards. There should be no real difference in performance between the two and I have heard it said before that the MSI cooling system that you see there is inferior to the reference cooler. So I'd go with the second one!

From over 100 Game tittles out there, only two they do a wild peak at 1080P them requiring more than 8GB of RAM.
Is there any special word other than the word PROBLEMATIC so some one to characterize the work of the specific Games and their 3D graphics engineers which them wrote the code?

And why all European consumers to spent more money for phisical RAM because a company or two, they made a few PROBLEMATIC products?
