What should I Upgrade ?

Hey guys, I have a Compaq Presario SR5610F and I wanted to know what parts should I upgrade ? I was thinking of upgrading the OS From Windows Vista to Windows 7 64-Bit. What do you guys think and what do you recommend ? Budget for upgrade ($300-$350 OS Will be purchased separately)

This upgrade is going for more into gaming.

Absolutely NOTHING! Save your money and buy or build a new rig. Sorry but that PC is so far out of date that it would not be worth putting any money into it. If I were you I would not even waist a Windows 7 license on it and save that option for the new PC if you build one. Or put that money into getting a new rig.

You'll need a higher budget to make that into a decent gaming build. Alternatively, there is bryonhowley's suggestion on scrapping it and starting over anew.
