What should I upgrade?

So my birthday is coming up and I was wondering what I should upgrade (along with buying a new monitor and desk). Here's my current rig:

GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 670
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (1600 MHZ)
Mother Board: Gigabyte Z97P-D3
CPU: i5-4460

I am probably going to be selling my current GPU and buying a new one anyway.

On another thread asking what GPU I should upgrade to, I'm being suggested the R9 380X. Is this a good upgrade?

It will give you a decent bump in performance (20-30%) but not enough o warrant an upgrade. I'd say that the 970 would be more worth the money you pay. (A whopping 60% increase in performance, 80USD more than 380X's, though.)

Upgrade your GPU, everything else is good enough for today games and tasks. I suggest you to buy GTX 970 (Gigabyte or ASUS) but that depends on budget you have. If you are tight on your budget than go for AMD R9 380X or the new GTX 960Ti.
