What should I upgrade?

Hello, specs of my PC are:

  • GPU: GTX 970 Gainward
    CPU: Intel I5 4460
    RAM: 16GB(2x8) GeIL 1600MHz
    MB: MSI B85M-E45
I'm thinking about upgrading my CPU to i7 4790K which is I think best option for 1150 socket. Second option was upgrading my motherboard and then finding some better options for my CPU and eventually getting some better RAM. My goal is to run some games like BFV in stable 60fps, or maybe even more, cause right now I have fps drops to 30-40 from time to time. I would listen to your propositions with pleasure :)

Solution
Upgrade the CPU will do the trick but the i7 4790K is priced really high you can get a 8th gen for cheaper and also dont forget to change the RAM if needed.

4790k would be good but you maybe better of going with a new board and cpu ryzen 2600x or intel i5-8600k etc
and you definitely need some faster ram upgrade it to ddr4 2666Mhz at least with intel or if you go ryzen 3000Mhz+ ryzen needs faster ram these are just some parts that are good you cna shop around for cheaper or different stuff but this is what you want to be looking at. If your on a budget and you don't want to fully upgrade then the 4790k would be a good upgrade and some faster ram.
