[SOLVED] What should i upgrade?

GPU:gtx 950
CPU: amd a10 7850k
Ram:8gb

Im looking to upgrade my pc to increase my overall performance in games. i only have the budget to upgrade one thing, but not sure if i should upgrade my gpu or cpu. I have a budget of about 300 dollars

i wouldn't go higher than a GTX 1060 with that CPU.....but it will be a good jump from a GTX 950.

What PSU do you have. It needs a 6 pin plug.

I think you will see significant gains with a 1060. It has near double benchmarks over the 950.
i don't think a CPU upgrade is going to help the 950 much if at all.

I will suggest you to upgrade CPU first. Get a good CPU and then Upgrade GPU.
You can upgrade GPU first but your CPU limiting it.

There really anything you could upgrade to as far as the CPU is concerned unless you plan of getting a new CPU/motherboard/memory combo.

Your current system will bottleneck the GTX 1060. Nothing bad will happen, it just won't make full use of the 1060.

I would honestly consider getting a new AMD Ryzen/motherboard/memory combo. Even a Ryzen 5 1400 (or 1600) setup would destroy your current system.
