Question What should I upgrade

Hey guys I'm comtimplating upgrading my pc but Im not sure where to start. I havent made anychanges to it in a very long time. I like to a game a decent amount and I also am an avid photographer.

CPU i7 920/2.66 GHZ
Ram 12 GB DDR3 SDRAM
Harddrive: 1 TB 7200 RPM
GPU 2 x AMD 6950 2 GB in Crossfire
Motherboard gateway fx6802 motherboard
Powersupply Corsair TX 750W

Honestly the whole system. Your CPU is very dated as well as your GPUs. If you are a photographer I would start with your CPU, get a Ryzen 2600 or 2700 (X variant if you want but you an overclock base to the same speed) and a compatible motherboard.

Honestly though I would wait a month or two, AMD will be announcing the new 3rd Gen Ryzens which may be killer CPUs and at the very least put the 2000 series CPUs on sale.

As far as your GPU, I've heard the GTX 1660TI is a very good card for the price or if you want pick up a RX 580 new or used (about the same performance as a GTX 1060) and it will smash your current 6950. You can obviously spend a lot more on your card such as the RTX 2070 and up.

Thanks for the feedback. Thats kind of what I was expecting. Thanks for the tip on the new ryzens are coming it'll definetly help save a few bucks.
