[SOLVED] What should I upgrade?

I currently have a GTX 1080 with a B350 Tomahawk and a Ryzen 5 1600X. The only thing I really do with my PC is game. I want to upgrade to be able to get better frames in some upcoming games (Cyberpunk, COD Cold War, Etc...) Any suggestions?

Upgrading neither cpu or gpu won't net you a huge uplift in performance.

Since a gpu upgrade will be bottlenecked by the cpu, and a cpu upgrade won't let the gpu stretch it's legs much more.


I'd say upgrade the cpu, but don't expect game changing upgrades to fps.

Get a 3300X for the moment, it's a excelent gaming CPU.

Upgrade both, or the CPU first to preferably a 3600. The 1080 is basically a 2060 super so you should be fine with that GPU, go for the 3000 super series or 4000 when it comes out
