My pc is underperforming, even though it's low end, it performs even worse than it should be.
I have a gt 1030 2gb gddr5 and an amd phenom ii x6 1055t, a really old cpu and a weak gpu, when i play a game and monitor my gpu and cpu i find that my cpu is about 30-40% and the gpu is 20-30%. This is really low and i dont know what's the problem that my cpu and gpu are holding back, when i see benchmarks for the gt 1030 on a game like valorant, people average 180 to 200 fps on 1080p, but for me i barely get 70 fps on 720p.i have a ddr3 1333mhz 8gb ram .

Could do something like this and get massively better all around performance;

Neither of these parts are anything I would consider "gaming", and in many ways that CPU is long overdue for a swap.

a ddr3 1333mhz 8gb ram
Single stick of RAM can hurt gaming performance. It's been a long time since I have messed with a Phenom but I seem to recall some of those motherboards being triple channel? I might be confused.

It is important to note when watching benchmarks that you know the exact equipment they are using (not just GPU) and that they be fully open about what settings and scaling they are using to achieve said performance. Any time you are watching YouTube performance videos it should be considered with a grain of salt, as it were.

Upgrade the whole thing, if not open the case side panel for better cooling and get a SSD if you don't have one. You can get a GTX 970 for like 200 something bucks now. If you have to upgrade the CPU it will cost you more because you have to get a new Motherboard. Would recommend i3 10100 and GTX 970

Good But I would Get a 3950x or 12th gen intel with a 980 TI because you can't do anything you want with the 5600g build also do at least 32gb ddr4
