What should my Intel 3770k Core Temps be?

Im getting about 45c on Idle, is this high?

If it is would replacing thermal paste be a good place to start? them maybe a new cooler? it has stock cooler but I do not overclock

Those temperatures are all fine.
Idle temps really don't matter at all.
The stock cooler is just about enough for your CPU - you only need to replace it if you wish to overclock... or if you want a cooler that makes less noise.

BTW, overclocking is easy, and could make your computer a lot faster.
