What size hard drive should I get

I have a 1 tb hard drive and want to replace it with a bigger hard drive. I was thinking the of getting a segate barracuda. I can't decide whether to get a 2 , 3 or 4 tb. Any suggestions ? Do not want to spend more money than I need to

honestly man, that is completely based on your needs. we don't know your needs since you haven't told them to us. why are you upgrading anyway?

I am upgrading my PC so it will be ready for oculus rift. Some time this year I plan on getting a rift if I can. I also play a lot of games in my PC. I have read online that 3 tb drives are not good boot drives is this true
