what size will a PC case fit on a dual Xeon motherboard?

I am building a dual xeon workstation on a budget, i have the Intel S5520HC mobo. will it fit a micro ATX case APEVIA X-QPACK3?

The case dimensions are higher and wider but will it fit?

SSI EEB - Thats the motherboard form factor
The specs on the case you linked do no t specify SSI EEB compatibility.
I am sure it will be able to fit. You could ask the manufacturer but there is a high probability that will know jack about your use case.

Here is a list of cases that list your form factor and should by that definition fit your board.

98% of them are full tower cases but it looks like you are looking for a small form factor. At the bottom of the list there are two smaller cases. You will see that they are very wide and flat. That is also why I am concerned that the case you linked will not work with your board.

not a chance. a mATX is around 9.6" by 9.6" so even if you add an inch on the sides, it's still below the 12" width of your desired board. and so is the depth. you can't fit the board INSIDE the case, but if you cut the case in half you can sandwich the board between the top half and bottom half. Sawzall sold separately.

i've got a Cooler Master HAF XB EVO case, and that might fit your board. it's also a cube style, board lays flat.

is there a reason you're sticking to mATX size cubes? most only have 4-5 expansion slot spaces, whereas the board you want to use needs at least 6 and is also deeper (front to back) than just about any mATX will allow (you'll hit the front panel and have to push that out too)

i got a new intel eAtx motherboard for 40 dollars thats why! otherwise i would be looking at micro ones.

i mean why are you looking only at mATX cases. there's options in larger cases that will properly fit that board without needing a Sawzall or welding equipment. because with nearly every mATX case, you have problems in both directions (side to side, and front to back).

always a good idea to own a Sawzall, though...

i am motorcycle mechanic and i have tons of tools to utilize at my disposal 😀

does the CoolerMaster HAF XB work for you? it's meant for a full ATX and i think it has enough room front-to-rear to accommodate that board. i have that case somewhere at the office so can take inside measurements for you if that'll help.

little update, i was given incorrect information on the motherboard, it is actually a Intel 5520UR model not 5520HC.
It will fit in the CoolerMaster HAF XB, only issue was the slanted 24 power connector so i cut off the front lower left corner of the fan bracket so it would connect to the PSU and slightly raised the plate of the MOBO.
