[SOLVED] What slot to use for my M2 SSD?

My components are listed in https://pcpartpicker.c om/user/andy_werber/saved/#view=tQBmD3. My motherboard has 2 slots for M2 devices. One is labeled M2_1, the other isM2_2.

The following is from the motherboard manual:

Slots........................3rd Gen AMD Ryzen™...............................2nd Gen AMD Ryzen™ Ryzen™
M2_1 (CPU).........PCIe 4.0 x4.....................................................PCIe 3.0 x4
M2_2 (PCH).........PCIe 3.0 x4.....................................................PCIe 3.0 x4


It seems like I would use the M2_1 slot, except the SSD title says PCIe Gen 3.0 x4. So, I'm wondering which slot to use.

It doesn't matter, you have a Gen 3 M.2 SSD, it will work the same in any slot.
