[SOLVED] What socket T CPU Should i use with my system

I am getting a gtx 960 and don't know what CPU to use with it, my motherboard is a socket T board

All answers appreciated

Current CPU: Core 2 Duo E8500
Current GPU: Geforce GT 710

Socket T is more normally known as Socket 775, or S775 for short. When looking for a board it might be easier to find it by the pin count and not the name.

I honestly don't mean to be rude, but your system is dead. They are out with the 9 series Core CPUs, so you are literally 10 generations behind now. I don't think you even have SATA II. You are also using PCIe 1.0 still. You are two generations of ram behind, etc. What I'm trying to say is I wouldn't just upgrade the board. You need new everything. IF the 960 works in that board then great, you've started the upgrading process. But you honestly need to spend ~$200-$300 on a new board, CPU and Ram. Something that will bring you into multi core, DDR4 RAM, PCIe 3.0, SATA...
