What software will work for a Twain network scanner?

Hello,
what are the advantages of a network scanner? We are a 3 person office on a network.

with a network scanner, you cna all access the printer and scanner options from the network rather than having to a have a printer wired to each computer. this can save on repair bills and ink if you are only ahving to make repairs to one printer, but you also than only ahve one printer if it breaks (unless you save a back up) so you also have the negative of downtime if something is not working.
