What softwares can run over 60 fps?

I'm undecided with monitors. I can definitely notice the difference between 60 and 120 fps, but I also heard going over 60 fps brings a lot of screen tearing problems... so I was wondering, do I even use much stuff that COULD run over 60 fps? What softwares can run over 60 fps?

Also, I've heard there are some HDTV monitors that can artificially increase the fps, I even saw one and it's very impressive. Anyone know the name of the technology or what monitors use it?

Ok, it seems the technology name is frame interpolation, but brands call it different names. Anyone know what monitors have it?

what do you expect to use with that monitor? programing? office work? college work? video or graphics rendering? gaming?

Primarily watching videos, gaming, streaming, websurfing and recording + editing videos.

just but a 60hz monitor.. you will be fine..
