I have an FX 8350 gaming PC and my RAM is the bottleneck, it is some standard 4GB 1600mhz RAM. I was wanting to get some AMD R9 RAM but I was wondering, which is better for the FX 8350, 2133 MHz or 2400 MHz?

I'm loving my case, it is all red and black because of the AMD CPU and graphics card. I think the RAM will look really nice in it.

Solution
Your mobo spec says -

• 4 x DDR3 memory slots supporting up to 32GB
• Supports DDR3 2133(OC)/ 1866/ 1600/ 1333/ 1066 MHz
• Dual channel memory architecture

So you should be OK with 2133.

OK thanks mate, I will go with the 2133 RAM. Will I need to buy a RAM cooler or will the heat dissipate without a cooler?

You'll be overspending for 2133 ram & it will likely be cas 10 or 11 - you'll also need to manually set speed & all timings in bios.

You'd be better with 1866 cas 9 IMO
HyperX Savage 8 GB (2 x 4 GB) 1866 MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM XMP Memory Module

G.Skill RipjawsX F3-14900CL9D-8GBXL 8GB (4GBx2) DDR3 PC3-14900 1866MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B004JM1ZG8/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_A.zyvb1XRCBWX

These will perform on par with 2133 cas 10 & slightly faster than 2133 cas 11.

I really like the look of the AMD RAM, it fits perfectly into my colour theme inside my case. I have also had bad experiences with g.skill.
