My mainboard has 1 SATA 3 port which the samsung 850 evo is on. I decided it's time to buy a second SSD, since i only have SATA 2 port i guess speed isn't a concern, unless ofc if random read/write speed isn't bottled neck by SATA 2, i heard they're more important but i'm unsure, durability is important too, i get it that SSD can last very long but i don't really want to change my hard drive down the road so the longer, the better.
I'm eyeing at
- Another Samsung 850 EVO 250GB - 116.19$
- Samsung PM851 256GB - 111$
- Plextor M6V 256GB - 94$
- Corsair Force LE 240GB - 96$
- Intel series 540 250GB - 100.55$
- Plextor M6Pro 256GB - 109.49$
I mostly consider buying either an EVO or an M6V, price cannot be changed, dollar is pretty big in my country btw.

There is no sandisk ssd to be found here, i can only choose from samsung, plextor, kingston, corsair, adata, intel, and ocz

I normally recommend Samsung ssd's. The 850 EVO is a good choice. It performs well and is probably the best selling ssd right now.

I maintain an ssd database listed in a sticky at the very top of this forum section. Here is the link:

Scroll down to the SATA 3 6Gb/s section where you will find the brands and models you mentioned. Follow the links to the technical reviews. The reviews are divided into two groups - English language reviews and reviews in other languages. The databases I maintain are strictly a hobby so there is no advertising.
