The prices are similar, yet the brands are different, so is how much they store and the speeds.... While Samsung is (I believe) the best there is, I was wondering if any of the alternatives would be enough.

If you could only choose one... what would you do?

Note: this is meant to be the MAIN drive, where C: is located.

I plan to buy, regardless of what I get, a 2nd SSD. For now, I am only choosing 2 or 4 TB.

Samsung's 980 Pro would get my vote, provided your motherboard does PCIe 4.0 speeds on the slot(as opposed to PCIe 3.0).
I ended up getting the

WD Black SN850x 2 TB NVMe M.2 2280 and the Samsung 870 EVO 4 TB (both yet to be shipped).

I was going to get the 980 Pro, however decided not to, I can't take the risk of having any firmware issue, and even if they were (or are) fixed, somehow find out the drive wasn't supposed to last, later.
