What ssd to get

Ocz or Intel? Or else? 120gb should be fine.

And why should i get it? Worth the money?

I've been running Win 7 on Samsung 830 Series 64Gb for two months now without a problem. (Chosen for speed and reliability on recommendation from others) I just run Windows and a couple of photo editing suites on the SSD and use a SATA HDD for storage and everything else... System boots in about 20 secs and everything else is greased lightning!

My only thoughts are don't buy a newly announced SSD drive, wait a few months until any problems with firmware have been sorted out

Also decide how big a drive you need or can afford. A 60GB SSD may be enough for Windows provided you make sure My Documents is on another hard disk and you try to install some programs or data on alternative Hard Drive.

For a laptop you need a bigger hard disk than 60GB

I bought a 120GB OCZ SATAIII which in UK is about £120 (UK pounds) including postage & tax (20%)

Windows (XP & 7) startup is about 1/3 or 1/4 of previous time and SSD disk is silent.
