What stick to use or can I use both

Hi guys I have a asrock 970 extreme 4 mobo with a amd 6300fx processor and a asus r7 260x graphics card. I have 1 8gb corsair lp stick of ram and 1 8gb corsair pro stick of ram just was wondering if I can use both together if not what one I should use? Any help would be fantastic

Give them a try together, no guarantees, but they might work, might not - if they don't let us know what happens and maybe we can try voltage/timing adjustments to get them to play

Thanks for your reply tradesman1 I have tried them together and it does work to a degree it does tend to make the computer a bit slower on startup (25secs to 40secs) and I'm not sure if it has affected gameplay really seams to be working just as well hasn't changed the fps or anything. Do you think it's ok but of a novice it's my first custom build and not sure if I should take one out and use one of them.
