What temp for my CPU is the right one?

I'm a little confused on what one of my CPU temperatures i should be looking at? My motherboard says one and my CPU says a different one, and there quite different.

the one with the 55C max seems about right the fx should be keept at 55C and 62 IS maximum safe by amd

so yah first one seems about right

Have you tried Core Temp?

I used to use HWMonitor, the cpu temperature is the one under FX-8350, the one that says CPU is your socket temperature.

Its far more sensible to use amd overdrive & its thermal margins nowdays.

CPU tab ,the thermal margin shown on the cores is how much headroom you officially have according to amd.
Its far more reliable than external monitoring software.

Thanks everybody! I just finished my first build so have been trying to get into bench marking and stress testing and thinking about overclocking. During the stress test 55 was the highest i could get it to go.
