I was curious about my CPU temp and downloaded Speedfan 4.49. It was showing my CPU at idle at 100c. Concerned I put my finger on the cooling pipes and fins and wasn't hot. So downloaded HWMonitor it says CPUTIN 100c and the 6 core temps at 41c. I then downloaded Real Temp GT 3.70 and the 6 temps are within a few degrees of each other and 42c average. I downloaded CPU Thermometer and it is telling me 50c. All of these temps are at idle. I then borrowed a mates multimeter which has a thermometer on it and put the probe on the bottom of the heat sink and recorded a temp of 37c and measured at the cooling fins and tubes and recorded about 35c. The air above and the CPU and above the cooling fins was about 34c. I started a game and the CPU temp recording at the heat sink itself reached about 47c. All the other programs seemed to record similar temps as I was physically recording, but weirdly SpeedFan went down to 88c. What's the go with SpeedFan reading 100c and what is the difference with HWMonitor and CPUTIN 100c and the core temps of around 41c. The CPU fan is turning at 1370RPM.
