Hey guys, ive just recently bought a Corsair RM750X power supply and i want to know what tier it is? any information about it would be great!

Solution
To be honest, I don't really like the idea of having PSU tier lists. Even though a PSU may get into Tier 1, that doesn't mean it's perfect. There are users on here that buy a specific power supply because it's in Tier 1 but then they have problems with it and of course it's our fault.

Anyways, I'm usually much happier just suggesting a power supply based on the specifications of a user's build. I usually recommend the Corsair RMx lineup when a user needs high wattage but isn't going for hardcore overclocking. For hardcore overclocking, something like the EVGA SuperNOVA P2 or T2 series would be a better fit.

I was going to say that. really the johnnyguru score matters far more, and even then that is for people who push their PSU.

I got an FX 8350 to 7200MHz at the same time as running two R9280X-DC2T-3GD5 cards from Asus at 1110Mhz all being artificial tested at the highest stable power limit... I ran all of that on a Cooler Master V1000. No issues, ran flawlessly for two years. Then house got struck by lightning, everything inside the case was killed. Every single component was tested individually on multiple test rigs that were running correctly. It was a sad day.

The RMx, though, is extremely close to the P2. Aside from efficiency they are almost basically identical in how well built and in performance.
