[SOLVED] what tier PSU is this Seasonic Prime SSR-850GD GOLD 850watts 80+ Full Modular PSU

Solution
yeah I agree. I have 2 PC's and once I get the RTX I was planning to put the 1080ti and the Corsair 750W to that because the PSU on that is a low tier 550W bronze.

So are you saying the Corsair 750W is better than the Seasonic 850W?

Ah, that explains it. I thought that you're just changing the PSU for the sakes of changing it, when there's really no need. Having 2 builds makes a whole lot more sense.

They're quite similar in terms of quality. That said the logical choice is to put the new PSU(Prime Gold) into the newer build and leave the RMi for the other.

That Corsair RM750i is a really good quality PSU and honestly I don't see the reason why you've bought another PSU.

Even for a 3080/3090 750W from a great quality PSU, like the RMi you currently have, is sufficient.
