What to build

Well here i am again, asking for the advice of those who would respond on my choices of pc components. Thank you in advance for any insights.

MSI k8n diamond
Winchester 939 athlon 3000+ 90nm SLI
2 512pc corsair 400ddr 3200 twinx1024
Wd sata 200 gb
mitsumi 7-1 floppy
bfg 6600 gt x1

questions:
1) which is more favorable for overclocking the 3000 or 3200?
2) is the 3200 corsair the correct ram decision with overclocking in mind?
3) i was planning on buying one 6600 gt now and one when i could afford it to use SLI, is this wise?

If you want a stable system, be sure to leave at least $80 in your budget for a quality power supply. And don't be surprised if your overclock is disappointing. I went through 5 cpus before getting a good overclocker with a p4 northwood. I also had to relax the memory timings for stability, using higher settings. My 865 msi board has some flaky settings called "sargent, captain, etc" with normal, turbo, and ultra turbo. I guess some engineers think people are too stupid to use real numbers. But at least the board was almost free.

Instead of buying a second 6600 you can also choose to buy a non-SLI board with a 6600, save some money and if you think you're 6600 is too slow buy a new $ 200,- card. You won't know till when the 6600 will be available and you also don't know if nVidia is going to support the game for which you need the second card. Single cards also need less power and don't heat your system as much as a dual setup.
