Hii i have around 300 quid to spend on comp hardware, im thinking to buy this

AMD phenom II x3 720
4 gig corsair ddr2 800 5-5-5-18
Biostar TA790GX-A2+, AMD 790GX
Thermalright ultra 120 extreme

totaling around 300

my current specs are

intel e4400
2 gig kingston ddr2 667
hd 4850
crappy mobo- too ashamed to say, besides it needs a upgrade quick
160 gig hitachi desktar

oh btw someone wants like to buy my 4850 for a 100, so if you can recommended a faster 4850 or possibly cheap a 4870 or something, no 4830's
res that i use 1280x1024

I don't know how prices are in the UK so I can't tell you what a good cheap 4870 is. As for the rest of the setup you are looking at, It looks pretty good to me, although I don't particularly like that mobo. I would look for an Asus or Gigabyte mobo instead. That cooler you are looking at is a great cooler, but fairly pricey, you can get pretty decent performance for about half the price if you went with the Xigmatek S1283 or Freezer 7 Pro, so I would recommend you look for those and then get a better mobo.

Corsair typically charges too much for their memory IMO, look for G. skill or mushkin or ocz, they make quality kits and have very reasonable prices.
