Hello good people.

First things first, my rig:
Intel i5 2500k
Asus P8Z68 - V LX
Kingston HyperX 1600Mhz 16GB
MSI R7970 Lightning BE 3GB

Second, my budget around 500 euros (I'm from Croatia, Europe).

Now, what should I replace and for what to have ultra (or at least high/very high) settings at 1080p and 60 fps.

I don't plan on going over 1080p in a long, long...looooooong time :D

And a second question: do you recomend buying used parts?

Thank you :D

Solution
With only 500€ i would say to replace the GPU, and add a small SSD.

I would add a Gtx 970 (350€ more or less) and a 250Gb SSD (Samsung 850 for 75€) you will end with an agging CPU/MB but you cannot afford a proper change in that aspect with that budget.

Well, you have quite a good core rig. What about the other pieces? (PSU, case & air flow, silence, if you need it).. Or what about upgrading that CPU? think that 2500k is still more than enough, but you wont need to upgrade GPU for a while. Moving from 970 to 390 (and vice versa) wont mean a big hit in performance, only going for FureX or 980(ti) should mean an upgrade, but it may be too many money for a "little" improvement I think.

He only has a 7970, so the 390(x) and 970 will be reasonable improvements. Certainly not as good as Fury/980, but much cheaper.

Thank you for your quick answers.
As for my other components:
Seasonic MII 520w (fully modular) 80+ certifed
Zalman Z9+ case
and a old WD 1Tb black I think.

So going for a newer generation i5 wouldn't make a lot od difference?

1) That PSU will limit you to a 970, maybe 980 if not overclocked. It will not handle Fury/390(X)
2) i5 2500 is still a great CPU, no need to change it if your budget is that low.
