what to check before buying a ddr rams

what spec to check what is the important part of the code on sticker or specs to check if the speed is good

are you adding ram to a system or building a system?? if your adding to a system run crucial memory advisor it read your motherboard and ram and tell you the speed of the ram and the max ram the mb can take. if your building a new pc with ddr3 ram you want 1600 speed at 1.5v with 9x timing as default ram. if you can buy 1866 or faster for the same amount do it. for ddr4 ram look for 2100 as stock speed at 1.2v 2400 or faster at 1.2v is what your looking for.

Mobo specs show up to DDR4 3466, your CPU (the defining factor) is capable of of most any DDR4 data rate (may require an OC for the higher), I'd look at 2x8GB GSkill Ripjaws V or Trident Z in 2800 or 3000

i currently have kingston .

what if i get those ripjaws memory will this boost my pc in editing etc and games maybe.

last thing , is my cpu good ? is it new
