Hello guys, i have difficult times choosing CPU. Tomorrow i'm gonna go and buy one, the problem is, i don't know which one to choose. I know that 7700k got better freq, but i'm also concerned about it's temperatures. I've already bought H270 mobo, so no OC for me.

My other hardware is:
mobo: Asus ROG Strix H270F Gaming
cooling: Noctua NH-U12S

I don't know if this cpu cooler will be able to handle 7700k, so i'm just stuck here, and i need to decide by tomorrow.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

That benchmarking/testing was done on a 7700k with that cooler. It'll be cooled well enough.

The 7700 is just fine with the stock cooler; making the Noctua wholly unnecessary

The 7700k will also do fine, with the cooler you need depending the amount of OC you want to do. Since you are not going to be OC'ing at all, the Noc will be way more than enough.

As for Z270 versus H270, be aware that by the time you buy a H270 board suitable for gaming with a decent audio subsystem, you can get an equivalent Z270 board for the same price. In short, you don't save anything by dropping down to H170 and you lose storage options that H170 doesn't offer,
