What to do after installing drivers ?

Hi ,

I recently bought a TP-Link TL-WDN3800. It has many problems so I installed the latest drivers from the Atheros website. But I'm not sure what to do after installing it.

Pls Help ! Any input appreciated. Connection just drops randomly 🙁

Thanks

Are there other devices on your wireless network? The entire network will run at the speed of the slowest device, unless the router is dual-band simultaneous, which is considerably more expensive that a "vanilla" dual-band.
Hmmm, I've got one of those, and its performance has been outstanding, spotting some wireless nets in my area I didn't know existed.
You might need to make sure the install is "clean;" uninstall the card and all of its drivers, then re-install the card and drivers.
A connection that drops out could as easily be the router. Have you reset the router recently? That may help. Check for sources of interference between the router and your PC, like fluorescent lights, transformers, etc. Re-aligning the antennas or the router and/or your PC may help.

Ohhhh.......

That answered one of my questions. But I still have the connection drop problem. Maybe I'll try to place my router and modem somewhere else. I still have to share the wifi with my family so I thought the 5GHz network would be empty and would improve the signal strength but am I correct ?
