Hello, so I just built my new PC and finally installed windows. However, I currently am kind of lost as to what I am supposed to do.
First of all, do I need to update the BIOS? I believe I know how to do that (in the starting BIOS menu) but I was confused as to whether I had to do it, as Windows installed without it.
Second of all, how do I know what drivers I am supposed to install? I believe there's something about a sound driver and a graphics driver, but I don't know what else.
Thanks, and sorry if I sound like an newb/annoying, I just am having frustration trying to do this, after many complications building the PC causing it to take many many hours.

Solution
There should be a disk included with your motherboard that has drivers on it.
Install them all.
That will enable all of the components integrated into the motherboard. (network, sound, video, and so on).

Next, install an anti-virus.

Then install any other applications, games, software and so on.

Only update the BIOS if you have identified an issue that the BIOS update will address.
First of all, You do not need to update BIOS.

Secondly, what to do next is depend on your work you want to do on your new PC. First decide what you want to do, either wants to play games or watch just movies and listening songs or want to do just some document work.

go to mobo site and download all of the drivers there and the gpu should come with an disk install the driver from there, if it didnt, go to the gpu site it the driver download should be there, and after installing all of the drivers and updating the os..ENJOY YOUR NEW PC!!!!

ex: an asrock mobo u would go here and downloaded everything compatible with the os https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=2&cad=rja&ved=0CDwQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.asrock.com%2Fsupport%2Fdownload.asp%3Fcat%3DDrivers&ei=zoEBU63CF9SlsQSNyYDoCw&usg=AFQjCNFK_POensShRNeYFM-l_yrxZ67I_Q&sig2=JQ1jdHlkNkuvoMcA74cJiw&bvm=bv.61535280,d.cWc

GOOD LUCK!!
