SpeedyINFIDEL :
So the Lenovo Y50-70 series was on sale and I bought one this last week. Since I've gotten it I've had a number of issues with it. Videos stuttering/freezing, hard drive problems, odd stuff like that. I'm only familiar with the basics when it comes to tech, so does anybody have any suggestions as to what I should do to get it set up and working properly? I've read elsewhere that it comes with issues and requires some work out of the box, but I'm not sure what I should be doing other than updating drivers.
Honestly, the BEST thing to do would be to contact Lenovo Support. Yes, it will be frustrating, but,
1). If you screw up your computer based on advice we give you, you just screwed up your computer.
2). If you screw up your computer based on advice they give you, THEY just screwed it up, and will send you a new one.
As these are some pretty heavy issues, it be safer to go their way. however, having said that, Hard drive problems are rarely fixed. It is most likely a lost cause, and will just eventually collapse. You would be better off trying to get a replacement laptop, than voiding your warranty by opening it up, or editing root files.
Cheers,
