So I am almost buying the MSI Z97 GD65 Gaming but I don't see any of the Ram Modules I can find with a good price in the compatibility list at MSI site.
for example the one I found in my region is the
Corsair Vengence cmy8gx3m2a1600c9r
the 1600 mhz modules in the list are
CMV4GX3M1A1600C
CMZ16GX3M2A1600C10
CMZ8GX3M1A1600C10
CMV8GX3M1A1600C

If I buy a memory that is not on the list can I easily use it? if so how?

Solution
vendor of mb and ram can only sample a small set. look at the list if the old ram is there with just a few letter changes then your fine. with newer mb and ram as long as it cl9 speed 1600 and 1.5v you should not have any issuess.
Compatibility list will only show those RAM modules which MSI have actually tested on that board. Doesn't mean any not listed won't work. Just means MSI cannot guarantee that they will.

They can't possibly test all RAM modules that are available. Testing costs money so they have to stop somewhere.

thanks!
