What to do with old laptops

I have 6 old laptops that still work and I was wondering what I could do with them besides recycle them or give em away.

Assuming they actually work and have valid Windows licenses (or install Linux)...Donate to families who would otherwise not have a working system.

take HDD out, and donate it to your local women shelter, local youth help center they will find someone that can use a computer to start her life again.
if you care to help further, microcenter has 320gb for like 20 refurbished, slap windows based on license of laptop on it. and give it second life.

Take out The HDD. And give it out on good condition but if its really old and can not meet the current software requirements, then i say you give it out for recycling...
Anyways may i know the models numbers
