What to do with the RAID-0 hard drives after motherboard crash?

I was running two hard drives in RAID-0. I know I shouldn't but I thought I wouldn't be so lucky to see a crash. Alas it did. The motherboard got shorted somehow and became totally unusable. What are my options at this point? Buy the same motherboard with the same RAID chip and attempt recovery? Or is it hopeless now?

Grateful for any help!

You may be lucky and your disks could still be intact. So if you are desperate to get the data on them back then yes - get the same Mobo and hope that it works.
