what to do with these cards?

My buddy just gave me two XFX GEFORCE 9800 GTX 512mb cards and a single gigabyte HD 5770 1gb ddr5.

Are these to old and just paper weights?

I'm going to build a new system but for now the one I have is outdated but could use a card. Currently I have an asus m4a88t-m, 12gb 1333 ddr3, phenom x4 965 black.

If I could, I rather sell everything and use the money towards a new system.

Any advice is much appreciated.

if i had a few spare bucks, i'd buy them mostly for interest's sake - and mostly the 9800s. you could try to use the 5770 in your current system, AMD should play nice with AMD.

Two 9800 GTX seem to be faster than one HD 5770.

If it was a larger difference one could still possibly had used the Nvidia card for PhysX.

Seem like your motherboard doesn't support SLI?

Use the HD 5770 for now?

The 9k series no longer supported in main drivers. So SLI support will be problematic for new games. Plus nvidia 9k series is DX10 card.
