I know I want 2 monitors, one for PC and another for 2nd PC screen/console gaming/netflix.The Acer HN274H is a 27" 120hz 2ms 3d monitor that I'm sure I want for 3D gaming/movies. I originally wanted the dell u3011 for pc and LED monitor for 2nd, but the price tag for the screen and cards to run demanding games changed my mind.

So now I can't decide if I should get the dell u2410 for pc monitor or use the hn274h as my pc monitor and get a bx2431 for 2nd monitor. I play MMOs and FPSs. The conflict is the hn274h, it would serve as a great 2nd monitor but I'm not sure it would be better than the u2410 for PC gaming.

So I am basically wondering which would be better for PC gaming; the Acer HN274H 120hz 2ms 3D monitor or the Dell u2410(could also go with the hanns-g 28" 1920x1200 monitor).

some generic advice:

if you plan on playing movies or console games on a monitor then it should be 1920x1080.

do you plan on 3d gaming on both monitors? to my knowledge the 120hz 3d monitors use TN panels. while they do have faster response times other panel types have better quality. the input is still 60hz, the monitor adds frames to make it seem like 120hz. this might make things look more smooth according to some but my old 60hz looked smooth to me.

MMO's look great on large screens (i use a 40" tv) but fps can be overwhelming so they are best played on a 20-22" screen. in my opinion. your opinion may vary.

While this is true for a 120Hz or 240Hz HDTV, 120Hz PC monitors use a dual link DVI connection so the input is actually 120Hz. There is no frame interpolation performed by the monitor.
