Not the best way to do it, Silverfeather.
First, uninstall all the AMD software, either use the built in uninstall feature or use Display Driver Uninstaller here:

Reboot.
Go to the main Nvidia website and download the latest drivers for the card and your version of Windows. If you trust them select the 'run' option from the download dialogue box, otherwise 'save'.
If you selected 'run' it'll start the install automatically, so follow the prompts, otherwise navigate to the 'Downloads' folder and double click on the Nvidia installer and follow the prompts.
