What to gamble for other than . . .

rings and amulets? I seem to recall that 1.10 reintroduced an infinitesimal
chance for sets and uniques. I also remember hearing that circlets were a
good bet as well.

I only gamble coronets (not circlets). They're harder to find in the
gamble screen, but have a chance of being tiara or diadem - I have
actully had both of those better ones in USEast SC Ladder.

Also, if you find a white diadem, apparently even a level 8 char can get
all possible mods on it if Charsi imbues it. A white tiara requires a
level 73 to get all mods.

Yep, I also gamble coronets.

Recently I've also been gambling assassin claws, hoping for one with +3
traps, and +skills to the lightning traps. But a good one with +3 shadow
claw and some +skills to something like Shadow Master would be nice too.

Yep, imbueing Diadem is a good use of Imbues. And the result of that, or
if you ever gamble a rare diadem, should be kept by you and you should
start rerolling it with the 6 Pskulls + rare item recipe: the resulting
diadem, as long as you do the rerolling with a lvl 8+ char (or
thereabouts) can get all possible mods, including +2 skills..

Happy gambling!

Patrick.

It's possible to gamble decent boots too, especially if you're interested in
using them for magic finding.

Outside low level untwinked characters with which I'm apt to gamble about
anything, the only things I ever gamble are ammys and rings, and
occasionally coronets and boots.

For low-level untwinked characters, I seem to gamble better rare belts
and merc polearms than I can find on the ground or in the shops, and
the price is decent, as compared to, say, armor. And boots and
gloves, since this is pre-crafting. In fact, that's probably a good
rule of thumb - if you have the materials on hand to craft stuff,
you're too high-level to gamble (exceptions: coronets and sometimes
circlets if you're unlucky, and of course rings and amulets).
