What to get first? A New GPU or CPU?

I currently have a 2gb 750ti and a quad core amd fx4300 at 3.8 ghz. I was wondering which i should upgrade first. I was first thinking upgrading to a i5 6600k but now thinking whether to upgrade the GPU first to a 970/980. Any recommendations are appropriated!

Both really do need an upgrade. Why not upgrade to an I5-6500 and a GTX 960 for the middle ground?

Get the new i5 6600k , Intel Z170 Board and DDR4 Memory, FX4300 won't be worth running with a 970 or 980.

The 970 is going to be a larger impact in terms of gaming, but the bottleneck with that CPU will be so significant that I would start with upgrading your CPU/Mobo/RAM first.

I wan't to upgrade long term so i won't have to upgrade again in the future unless games require alot better gpu's and cpu's.

Might as well get higher-frequency memory, DDR4-3000Mhz perhaps, since the price increase would be small.
