what to pick for a simple backup

I need to backup my desktop and my laptop.

thats all the purpose of it... not sharing photos or streaming emdia all kind of nonsence.

these are my 3 options, I tought the ac adapter was a kind of a pain to lay my laptop on the floor next to that tower... but it only needs to be done once a week... so maybe im just silly..

were talking about a 2.5tb pc and a 250gb laptop...
time is no issue as I get it done in the night...

superninja12, that is great that you are planning to back up your information as you never know when you are going to need it. Also, a tip on backups for you.

Basically you want is:

3 copies of any data you don't want to lose
2 different mediums it's stored on (so 2 different drives in your computer, for example)
1 copy kept offsite, to prevent against disaster.

Best of luck and any of those drives will do.

If you just need somewhere to backup too the last option it just fine. You do not need all the fancy software if you plan on doing a simple backup from windows it should work fine.
