Question What to purchase for WiFi on a desktop PC?

My desktop PC has always been hard-wired to the internet via ethernet, however due to renovations I'm being forced to change locations within the home.

I'm curious as to how exactly I can get WiFi on my PC and what needs to be purchased? Ideally something off of Amazon would be greatly appreciated.

I have the TP-Link AC1900 Smart WiFi Router (Archer A9) FYI.

May I suggest an alternative to WIFI ... Are you familiar with powerline network adapters like these -- https://www.amazon.com/AV2000-Powerline-Pass-Thru-Gigabit-PLA5456BBKIT/dp/B01MTNKNPZ?th=1 they use the power infrastructure of your home to transmit network traffic. It is not as good as an ethernet cable, but is usually better than WIFI.

Lol, yes.

You can get a USB dongle that will just plug in externally and connect to WiFi. They range from SUPER CHEAP and SLOW, up to halfway decent.

If you have an open PCIe slot inside your computer you can add a WiFi adapter internally. They generally are the most reliable if you buy a decent one. There are LOADS of options from super cheap and slow up to the best available on the market. Make sure you verify what band your modem/router is using so you can match that.
