Inbuilt and being smart is fine, AV does pretty much nothing these days

You don't need anti-virus on a Mac. Keep your PC updated and it should be fine. Use Firefox as your web browser.

I can't count how many computers I have cleaned off from not working properly due to third-party AV software. Its not needed.

Why install antivirus on this kind of software? It's already secure enough to keep all sorts of nasties from getting into your system. You will only slow down the performance of this laptop.
